Congrats to our team member, Judy Selby.

On Sunday, Jan. 28, the congregation at Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton will learn about “Educate a Girl/Change the World,” a mission the church started four years ago to help educate girls and women around the world.

The mission leaders hope to raise at least $8,000 to fund ongoing scholarships for nine girls attending grade school through college in Cambodia, Kenya and Chicago, and provide a new scholarship for a female student at Meharry Medical College in Nashville.

At 10 a.m., Nathaniel Viets-VanLear of the MyBlockMyHoodMyCity organization will share information about the IGotChu college scholarship through which “Educate a Girl” supports women in Chicago.
